Privacy policy
The short version: I only collect what I need to run this experience well, I keep it safe and private, and I never sell or share it for anyone else's marketing. Everything is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. Our commitment
Gabby Powell Coaching & Mentoring ("we", "us") respects your privacy. The women who come into this experience often share deeply personal things, and the utmost confidentiality and discretion is held with every one of them. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we look after it.
2. What we collect
- Contact details: your name, email, mobile number, Instagram handle and general location (suburb, city and state).
- Application answers: what you share about where you're at, what feels heavy, and what you'd love to change. Some of this may be sensitive, so we treat all of it with extra care.
- Payment information: you can pay by Stripe or by EFT bank transfer. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and we never see or store your full card details. For bank transfers, we see the name and reference on the payment.
- Program participation: messages and voice notes you send in the WhatsApp group or Office Hours, and call recordings (made only to provide replays on request).
- Delivery details: a postal address if you're receiving a celebration hamper.
You don't have to give us any information, but without some of it we can't consider your application or run the Program for you.
3. Why we collect it
- To review your application and follow up with you.
- To deliver the Program: calls, Office Hours, resources, the high tea and hampers.
- To take payment and keep records we're required to keep by law.
- To send you updates about the Program and, if you've opted in, occasional emails about future offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We'll only use your information for these purposes, or for a related purpose you'd reasonably expect, unless you agree otherwise or the law requires it.
4. Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We only share it with the trusted services that help us run the Program, and only as much as they need:
- Jotform: application forms and responses.
- Stripe: secure payment processing.
- Zoom: live group calls and recordings.
- WhatsApp: the group community and Office Hours voice messages.
- Flodesk: program emails.
- Netlify: hosting for this website.
Some of these providers store data outside Australia (for example in the United States or Europe). We choose providers with strong security and privacy practices, and by submitting your information you consent to it being stored and processed overseas by them.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where there's a serious and imminent threat to someone's health or safety.
5. Confidentiality inside the group
Every participant agrees to keep what's shared in the group confidential. Gabby will never share your personal story, application answers or details without your permission. Call recordings are shared privately with participants only. Short screen recordings or snippets of calls may be shared with no audio, and anyone who'd prefer not to appear can let us know in writing. What is spoken in sessions is kept completely confidential.
6. Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including keeping access limited to Gabby and using secure, reputable platforms. When we no longer need your information, we delete or de-identify it.
7. Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, at any time. Just email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
8. Questions or complaints
If you have a question or a concern about how your information has been handled, please contact us first at hello@gabbypowell.com, and we'll do our best to resolve it quickly. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
